The Positive Behavior Support Project is excited to have guest speaker Jeremy Burks present on identifying signs and symptoms of mental illness in people with intellectual disabilities and accessing crisis response units. The training will focus on five mental illnesses: depression, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

After attending you will be able to:

  • Identify the symptoms of five mental illnesses;
  • Describe the services a Crisis Response Unit provides;
  • List ways to access services for someone with coexisting disorders
