The Joy of Family Coaching

Join guest speaker Angela Bryson for this free two-part webinar on family coaching. Family coaching offers direct support to families. It can be offered to caregivers on a wide variety of topics, ranging from strategies for working with their child, to understanding services offered by their agency, as well as other helpful resources. These coaching sessions can be facilitated by a variety of professionals working in many different systems. These presentations will outline ways a facilitator can build collaborative relationships with families in order to assist them in decision making and establish consistent communication.

After attending, you will be able to:

Part 1: Joy of Family Coaching

  • Identify strategies for working collaboratively to meet the needs of families.
  • Evaluate family needs and find resources to best meet those needs, including linkages and referrals.
  • Understand that timely communication with families is necessary to meet ongoing needs.
  • Execute an action plan for a family that is responsive to their needs.

Part 2: Scripting Family Coaching

  • Organize documentation for each family including Family Action Plans or contact notes.
  • Identify distractions and apply strategies to redirect back to the main issue.
  • Identify the needs of a family and use a creative flow of ideas to resolve the issue.
